Yes again! It has become a tradition to colour my hair atleast once every year now. I cannot believe there was a time when I used to say that I won’t colour my hair. I guess you have to try it to know it. Once I started playing with the hues, I can never go back to my boring hair again. I have tried it all, ombre, baylage, pink, red..you name it and I have tried it in one way or the other. But last year I got addicted to this chocolate hair bug and it won’t be wrong to say that the addiction is still going strong. This time I went to the salon to get my roots touched but once I was in the chair, I was like “you know forget roots, lets colour all my hair again!”
I booked my appointment at Affinity salon, Pitampura (as usual) and asked the chief hairstylist for his recommendations. Because we had used the Wella Illumina Hair Colour before, he asked me to try the Wella Koleston Perfect Hair Colour this time. The shades are pretty much the same except for the formula and compososition. While the Wella Illumina range focuses more on the shine and glow it provides to your hair, Koleston Perfect focuses more on giving you intense vibrant colour along with some special mix shades. I decided to go one shade lighter from my last hair colour job so this time I went for 7/77 while the last time I guess it was 6/77..still being in the chocolate brown colour family.
I won’t decribe the entire hair colouring process again, you can read it in my post on Wella Illumina experience. The hair colour came out so good that now I’m on a recommendation spree! If only I could get a dime for everytime someone asked me what my hair colour was! Its a permanent hair colour dye so are set for a really long time except from the roots retouching session. I let my roots grow out because then I can pretend I have got an ombre hair colour going on. The colour doesnt fade or gets dull, its been two months now and the vibrancy of my hair colour is still intact. There are hair colour brands which start fading off after a few washes, something that happened after my ombre hair job so I suggest you do your research well. If you ask me, I would totally recommend Wella hair colour shades because they go really well with our Indian skin tones and stay intact without looking dull. As far as my hair texture is concerned, its shiny and smooth and no the hair colour hasn’t damaged it.
Let me know what you think of my new hair colour. I would love to answer your questions.

This is amazing hair colour. Suits you a lot.
That’s a true chocolate shade and looks very pretty on you! Do you know if they used a 20 volume developer or 30 Volume?
The hair color looks horrible for your skin tone. Sorry. But its true perhaps people are uncomfortable telling it to your pouted face.
What kind of racist comment is this…you should be ashamed of yourself Mary
Hi, did you just use the color packet or did you mix any developer separately?
Too dark. Makes her look older
