Great Hair Doesn’t Happen By Chance, It Happens By Appointment

I’m pretty sure you know it was my sister’s wedding last month..because I was shouting out my bridesmaid duties from the rooftops! Shopping for Indian wear is a hundred times difficult than your ordinary daily clothes and you can’t just buy them online that easily. So the entire September I was out in the sun everyday searching for THE lehenga from chandni chowk to karol bagh, lajpat nagar to kamla nagar..and it took a toll on not just my blogging schedule but my hair and skin as well. Finally the wedding came and to my horror my hair was all dry and frizzy which no amount of hair styling could fix. Continue Reading…

Spa Day is My Favourite Day of the Week

Nothing talks about your loyalty to a spa than visiting it twice. I’m talking about my favourite luxury spa in delhiSawadhee Traditional Thai Spa, Vasant Kunj. I visited them last year around my birthday and did a whole post on how I loved everything about it. This time when Sailor and I were craving a spa day, we decided to hit Sawadhee again! He couldn’t understand my obsession with the spa so I took him to a couple spa day! Reaching there is quite easy, we just hailed a cab and it took us an hour to reach. If you live in South Delhi, it would be much closer to you. We were the first ones in the thai spa that day so I took the liberty to take some photos to update my instagram and snapchat..who doesn’t? Life Is Too Short To Have Boring Hair

Raise your hand if you were following my goa adventures on snapchat! I know! This goa trip was awesome and I can’t get over the fact how beautiful and surreal the destination is. Now I know why everybody heads to goa as soon as you say holiday. I never could get the hype around it but now I do. While I very care free in goa (read no cares about the sunscreen, makeup, hair, outfits) because I take my holidays very seriously and if I have to fuss over all the stuff then how is it a holiday! But honestly everything fell into place..the pictures came out nice, my outfits were great and my hair looked beach ready. I really didn’t do anything but they always had these light beachy waves there. Continue Reading…

Bad Hair Day: Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That

Wella SP Luxe Oil Therapy: Review, Products, Price

When the going gets tough, go to a parlor. Under ordinary circumstances, given my busy schedule the last thing I would take out time for is a hair spa. I am very careless with my hair and I don’t remember the last time I oiled my hair. 3 years? I have thick, lovely and superb hair..blowing my own trumpet! But even the best of hair can’t manage itself on its own. I am super busy even after working from home. What with reviews, shoots, events, etc. So with greater work comes greater responsibilities, and I hardly dedicate any time to my hair care routine. Continue Reading…

Sorry I can’t hear you over the volume of my hair

Review, How to use, Price, Buy Online Nioxin Diaboost Thickening Xtrafusion Treatment with HTX

Most of you know that I have been changing or say improving how we do things on VNA. I’ve been expanding the team and all this stress has been showing on body. I’ve never had hair problems before but these days I’m suffering from hair fall issues. Initially I thought it was a seasonal thing but it somehow never stopped. I knew I had to talk to a professional and that is when I booked an appointment to mt favorite Salon, Affinity Pitampura. The staff there knows me well enough by now and they know how to take care of me which is why I love going there. So last weekend when I showed up on their door, they knew I meant business! The head stylist discussed with me the issues I’ve been having lately with my hair and we started going over possible solutions. Continue Reading…

I feel my hair Renewing, I feel Revival brewing

Its no secret that I love my hair. And ever since I coloured my hair brown I have been loving it all the more. So naturally I was on a lookout for a good hair care range. I was eyeing the new elements series by Wella from a long time. All the products are made from natural tree extracts and are paraben and sulphate free. Women are becoming conscious of their beauty, they keep a close watch on the ingredients used in the products they are using. Products with maximum number of natural ingredients work the best as they never harm your skin or hair. I have been using the Wella Renewing Shampoo and Mask from a month now and I am pretty impressed with it. Lets move on to the reviews. Continue Reading…

Brunettes do it better

Honey I coloured my hair again! It amazes me to think there was a time I thought I would never colour my hair. Nope. Not a chance. And look at me now. Last year I tested the waters with an at home hair colouring kit. I liked the result but those things are difficult to show up and fade away pretty soon. So I went to a salon and asked for an ombre..given my obsession with ombre last year it surprised nobody. It took me 2 more hair jobs to fix the colour because first it was too subtle and the next time too bright. By June this year I was already bored of it. But I just didn’t know what to do with it. I couldn’t go out and pick any shade..its my hair..HAIR! Continue Reading…

the stronger the hair the harder they stare

If you follow me on my instagram (@vanitynoapologies) and snapchat (@vanitynoapology) then you know I recently went for a hair makeover. This post is all about the queries I got after that. I went for 2 services that day: liquid hair and hair colour. I will talk about Wella SP Liquid Hair in this post and in the next post I will talk all about my new hair colour with tons of pictures for you to drool over. The reason I went for the liquid hair treatment from Wella because as you know I suffer from hair fall issues in this season. A lot of experts tell me I’m blessed with beautiful hair but a girl has to worry or she isnt a girl! I’ve been heat styling and blow drying my hair for a lot of events and it definitely takes a toll on my hair. Add to it the autumn season when I suffer from hair fall and dandruff which scares me everytime I shampoo or brush my hair. So I booked an appointment at Affinity Salon, Pitampura which is like 15 mins from my place and walked through the door at around 11am the next weekend. Continue Reading…

A Cut Above the Rest

Sailor was in town recently and ofcourse I had to rush to a salon to get myself fixed, as always. This time I picked Neu Salonz after seeing a lot of buzz about them on facebook. They have a salon in Gurgaon but they recently opened in GK 1, M Block market in Delhi which is closer to my place so I booked myself an appointment and walked through the door at 11 in the morning. I always pick early hours because I hate to miss my gym in the evening. So I figured it would take 2-3 hours max and I would head back. But no! I added one service after another and walked out of the door after spending close to 5 hours! No surprises that I skipped my gym class and let myself get pampered by the professionals there. I immediately fell in love with the new age decor of the salon. The theme was black and white which I personally love at spas and salons. Everything looked chic and modern with mirrors at every step. It felt like a backstage green room! Continue Reading…
